However, with a little bit of practice, patience, empathy and support, children can learn to vocalise their feelings which has many benefits to cognitive development and wellbeing. There are a variety of different tools families can use to help with vocalisation of emotions. So today, House of Knowledge brings you a board game that parents and their children can play during spare time.

Children often learn behaviours and habits from parents, so seeing their parents express their genuine feelings allows the child to understand they can vocalise their emotions.

Emotions Board Games Instructions

Roll the die and move your game piece that number of squares. Read the emotion written in the square and say a time when you have felt this emotion (e. g. I feel happy when I am riding my bike). The game can be for 2-4 players. The first player to get to the end wins.
