In 2007, the House of Knowledge (HoK) journey began when our first kindergarten campus was founded under the principles of teaching children through explorative learning and collaboration. Following the success of the founding school, HoK opened a second campus at Chaoyang Park just three short years later, in 2010; a testament to the positive growth of both our approach to learning and the community we are building. In 2014 we were able to further the support of students by opening our first elementary school at our founding campus in Shunyi. This offered us the opportunity to have a greater impact on the early, and crucial, stages of our students academic journeys. As HoK continued to establish itself as one of the primary early years providers in Beijing, we moved to further our reach into the educational community by opening a third kindergarten at the new Xinglong Campus in 2018. Through dynamic leadership, creative application of international educational pedagogy and child centred learning, over the last 12 years, HoK has established itself as one of the key providers of education in Beijing.
Through our elementary school and three kindergartens, HoK is proudly educating over 300 children from more than 10 countries. Our Early Years students follow the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), which has been extensively recognized around the world. IEYC is a research-based curriculum focused on the social, emotional, and cognitive development needs of children aged 2-5. It maintains the Reggio Emilia philosophy of child-centred and personalized learning. In pursuit of creating a rigorous Elementary curriculum for internationally minded students, HoK adopted the highly regarded International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The IPC is a comprehensive thematic curriculum with emphasis placed on meeting students at their academic and developmental level. At HoK, we prepare our students for their world of constant change and aim to help them develop the personality traits they need to succeed in the 21st century.
Since our humble beginnings in 2007, the steady growth of our school year on year and the relentless support of the wider community has helped HoK thrive in the competitive market of international educational providers in Beijing. We look forward to continuing this upward trend, allowing us to nurture the young minds of our multicultural city for many years to come.
Due to the impact of the Corona-virus in 2020, House of Knowledge now operates Victoria Gardens campus only.
