House of Knowledge (HoK) held a German-style back-to-school party – “Oktoberfest” in Shunyi Campus on September 14 and in Chaoyang Park Campus on September 15, to welcome all kids including the new as well as their families.
The parties this year were abundant in German elements, such as the waving German flag, balloons in red, yellow and black, German sausage, German cookies, German beer (only for adults), teachers and parents in traditional German costumes…
There were plenty of interesting family games including the “snake and ladder”, face painting, bead stringing, bubble blowing, clown performance, etc. In addition, parents of HoK community brought and shared self-made food unique to different countries. HoK also prepared hot dogs, sausages, juice and coffee for the families.
All the teachers of the two campuses attended the parties and actively communicated and interacted with the children and their parents. We’d like to express our thanks to all participant families. And to all the kids, welcome back to school and wish you a happy school year!
