Victoria Gardens CampusEnriching After School Activities (ASA) serve as an extended educational opportunity for all our students at HoK.
House of Knowledge offers three terms of After School Activities throughout the school year.
Each term is usually made up of eight to ten weekly sessions.
Classes are held from 3:45 pm to 4:30 pm

: Drama involves role-play in a variety of situations. It helps children develop imagination, language and speaking skills, confidence, creative expression, cooperation and other social skills. In this club the teacher will use many ways to encourage the children to engage in dramatic play and the skills learned, such as self-discipline, responsibility, teamwork, setting goals, and concentration skills will be used throughout your child’s life.

: This class is packed with crazy experiments and creations for your little scientist. Come and learn how everyday household items can be turned into bottle rockets, boats, slime and more! Each new creation will be an exciting opportunity for kids to learn about the wonderful world of science!

: FA qualified Laura will teach fundamental football skills in a fun environment and their a ‘ball-per-student’ policy ensures all students are engaged. This ASA will focus on developing skills and encouraging a passion for football through fun skill-building activities. Course includes, certificate, player profile and team pic on successful completion of the course. Established in 2001, Club Football is Beijing’s biggest junior football coaching organization, with 12 full-time professional coaches and over 3000 kids coached in 2013.

: Inspiration is everywhere; your child will learn how to use simple material to make trending fashion accessories, from t-shirt design to shades to cool for summer! From a simple idea to a ready-made product, kids can enjoy being creative as well as completing a wearable project. If they join this course, they are sure to develop their own unique fashion eye from young age!

: Ballet Level one is designed for beginners. Ballet lessons for children are a great way for energy burning while acquiring focus and attention skills. Ballet dance requires both sides of the brain being used and children can grow in artistry and creative way. Last but not the least; ballet is the root of all dances! Mastering ballet when they are young, and they can pick up any other dance easily in future.

: This is a Mock-up of all the three “CLAY’s” (polymer clay + paper clay + sculpture clay). The class requires less technical skill than conventional clay, so your child can focus more on the creative expression of their own ideas. This is a new DIY art learning fun experience which uses all kinds of Clay to make many kinds of products. Your child will learn methods of color, shape that increases their imagination and knowledge.

: This popular class at our Quanfa Campus is now available at VG Campus! Gardening Science is a creative ASA that involves garden-based projects were they would discover and explore “Plants”. This is a real hands-on class that comprehends everything about vegetative seasons, to how and why to take care of the plant project they have made with their own hands.

: Baking is fun, a great way to connect with kids, and the outcomes are delicious. Whether you’re slathering fluffy, white frosting over a decadent chocolate cake, or forming soft ropes of dough into creative shapes, time spent together in the class creates memories that last a lifetime.

: Parent-Child-Gymnastics will focus especially on the joy and fun of movement. The class will combine music and exercise in a familiar environment.
At the beginning of the class the children enjoy common singing and dancing games in a group circle.
After that they will jointly experiment and play with everyday materials like balls, balloons, cloths etc.
Finally, climbing and playing areas will be set up to promote motor skills, balance and the fun of gymnastics. Hereby the kids will learn and practice movements like jumping, crawling, climbing etc. The class will be ended in a circle with some nursery rhymes and finger-plays. The children are accompanied by mother and / or other caregiver and will thus experience all of the above with familiar people.
Ukulele for Beginners, 4-6 years

: Ukulele ASA gives your child the opportunity to learn to play an instrument, and incorporates songs, games and activities that help teach the all the elements of music. In each lesson there are opportunities to practise skills as well as learn new songs. Some elements of music notation are incorporated, but the emphasis is on developing an all round musicality. Additionally, large text, notes and diagrams make the class an easy way to learn and have fun.
